July 5

The photographs of these various buildings were taken on the Munich city tour.

A huge banquet hall at the Hofbrauhaus Beer Garden.

Me chugging down that BIG ass beer!

The remaining photographs are from the city tour.

Another sleepless night. I think I woke up every hour. I don't know why.

We got up around 5:30ish and started getting ready for our day. We went to breakfast....which was a bit unusual from our american breakfast. They had god-awful coffee, to start. Several different kinds of bread. We tried a few. Some we liked, some.....not so much. They had cavier (however you spell it) for breakfast! We found a bread that we liked and strawberry jam that was very good.

We made it to our tour bus stop far in advance. So, we explored the train station (which was directly across the street). It is so busy and exciting. Very interesting. Later, while mom waited on the bus for the tour to start, I went exploring. It's very interesting just to walk around and look.

The tour was fast. "Look to your right......then immediately look to your left..." By the time you look, we've past it! Additionally, they only give you a snippet of information about what you're looking at. I WANT MORE DETAILS!!!!

The bus stopped at some point, and we learned you can get off, explore on your own for a bit, then get on the next bus coming by later. So, we hopped off and went exploring on our own. That was fun!

We explored several shops. We bought a few things. We accidentally found the Hard Rock Cafe. I got a t-shirt and immediately put it on immediately.....because it was cooler than my rolled up sleeves on my long-sleve shirt. Then, we accidentally found the Hofbrauhaus beer garden. They had a little exhibit about how it started, etc. We sat down, ate and had ourselves one BIG ass beer! I ordered putenragout in champignon rahmsoBe mit eirsptzle. Which is: Turkey chunks in a mushroom gravy with noodles. It was good. Mom ate an apple struddle. I took a bite and it was good. The garden is very touristy. They also had a german band playing. It was a beautiful hall and very interesting....the ceiling, the lights, the tables, the chairs, etc.

We made our way back onto the tour bus and returned to the starting point, then returned to our room. Mom had two more blisters on her same foot! We didn't walk THAT much and she said her shoes were comfortable. She's aggravated that her feet can't keep up with what she wants to do. Bless her heart.

I went exploring while she rested. However, I only explored around the immediate area. I learned there are more people from India, Egypt, and other middle eastern countries in this immediate area.

Mom and I laid down and took ourselves a little afternoon nap. It's nice to do what you want, when you want, how you want, etc. and not being rushed as in an organized touring company.
